Best Western Plus Airport Hotel Copenhagen

Arrived from the airport at 11:00pm, and there was a huge line at the reception to check in. I waited 30 minutes and finally checked in. I was really tired. There was only one pillow, and when I went to the reception to ask for an extra pillow, there was still a huge line. There was only one staff member, and it was obvious that they were short on staff. I asked the reception staff for a pillow and returned to my room, but there was only one staff member. I felt bad for him for asking when he was busy, and it was already time to go to bed, so I said, "I asked for a pillow, but I don't need it after all," and just to be safe, I gave him a note with my room number and that statement. After that, when I tried to take a shower, the shower head was covered in red mold. It was disgusting. That kind of mold can only be formed if it has been cleaned for a long time. Furthermore, the water from the shower does not come out vertically, but splashes sideways. The water outlet is also broken. I wanted to have my room changed, but I knew the line at the reception would continue, so I gave up and went to bed without taking a shower. It was the first time in my life that I went to bed without taking a shower, and it was disgusting. I was woken up by a knock on the door of my room at 1:30am. When I left the room half asleep, the same staff member brought me a pillow. I was grateful that he worked late, but I canceled my pillow request. I spoke to him directly and gave him a note so he wouldn't forget because he was so busy. That woke me up and I couldn't sleep for an hour and a half after that. I wanted to complain, "I canceled my request, why did you come? You just came and woke me up," but I knew he was obviously exhausted and had forgotten, so I thought about how hard it would be for him and didn't say anything. I realized that this hotel was clearly short-staffed, so I got up at 6am to talk to the reception. I showed them a photo of the red mold in the shower and a video of the strange water flow, and they told me to come back to the reception because they still weren't sure if I could move rooms. I visited the reception again an hour and a half later and it was confirmed that I could move rooms. I was told it would be after 11am, so I waited in my room, and visited the reception again when the time came. I was allowed to check the new room first, and there was no problem, so I moved rooms. I had already taken everything out of my suitcase, so it was difficult to move. (I didn't know about the shower malfunction when I checked in.) I am grateful that I was able to move rooms, but if there were enough staff at the reception, I could have moved rooms on the day I checked in, and I could have showered before sleeping, and I wouldn't have had to get up early to talk to the reception. I told the reception about my troubles and they gave me a voucher to use at the hotel's convenience store. However, they didn't have what I wanted at the convenience store, so I asked them for a breakfast voucher. I was able to move rooms and take a shower without any problems, but either way, there are problems with this hotel. The room only had thin lace curtains, and the room was very bright during the day, so I couldn't take a nap in bed. I don't understand why they don't put thick curtains to block the sunlight. This is the first time I've stayed in a hotel without curtains. This hotel has many problems, but the only saving grace is that the reception staff were all kind and pleasant. However, they need to do something about the lack of staff. The breakfast was pretty good. Thank you for the breakfast voucher. There are two supermarkets and a delicious Turkish doner kebab nearby. The bus stop from the airport and the subway to the city center are close by.

It's about 15 minutes away from the subway, which is acceptable. The room facilities are relatively old, but still clean! There are supermarkets and restaurants downstairs of the hotel, and there are also many choices of restaurants opposite, so it is a very convenient accommodation. The breakfast food is pretty good, filling, and clean! If I come to Copenhagen next time, I will still choose to stay here
